I am 26 and have been single for about 6 months now.

I am having no luck finding a boyfriend...because, apparently, i look too "independent, according to what my friends say. People do tell me that I am attractive and occasionally, I might get flirted with and check out, also, according to what my friends say. For movies to show women being superior fighters to men YET still make only men sign up for Selective Service and be on the front lines of combat is damn insulting to men.

And as far as the whole "giving birth" copout, women can have guys even before they're 20 years old so once they serve their "giving birth" purpose then they should be forced to do what men have to do in the military. Besides, women can be FORCED to get pregnant an give birth before having to join the military and do what men have to do in the military if people are that concerned about the population of an already overpopulated planet.

Men deserve to have it as good as women can have it.
Men deserve abundant sex lives with the women they want it with(and the women they want to get sexual with are supposed to want it with those men JUST AS MUCH as vice versa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Men also deserve to have the car they want and race it and drive it.

First, separate fantasy from reality. Obviously movies do not have any bearing on the US policy if women in combart. The main reason women are not allowed in combat has absolutely nothing to do with their ability to perform as combatants. In US culture, we as men are raised to protect women. I'm not saying women need protection, and i'm not saying it's right/wrong. I'm saying the studies show that in a combat situation,men will not think rationally where women are concerned and then you have an entire squad sacrificing themselves for one person. If you really think about it, the fact of the matter is that selective service is needed in the event of a global scale conflict and not forcing women to register is protect us from ourselves.
